Him and Waqar have definitely picked some of the toughest all time XI's.

    Interesting picking Murli over Warne.

Seriously good team. The only replacement I'd suggest is Hadlee with someone like Akram or one of the classic Windies great Marshall or someone.

    Gilchrist
    Tendulkar
    Ponting
    Kallis
    Warne
    McGrath

Are making the most of the XIs of these guys.

I will pick Marshall over Mcgrath and Dravid over Tendulkar

Surprised a lot of Windies great bowlers don't make a lot of these XI's.

Joel Garner, Curtly Ambrose, Michael Holding amonts others.

No need for Hadlee when you already have Imran and Sobers.

Wasim in for Hadlee for me

I want to see a game between this XI and Finn’s XI Lol

Tim Murragh opening the bowling to Hanif.

Would also have Warne over Murali. Give me a leg spinner over any other type of spinner any day

Also these XIs mostly consist Cricketers from late 90's till today.

What about the greats of the eras before like Lillee, Viv, Hadlee, Gavaskar, Haynes, Greenidge, Holding, Marshall, Martin Crowe, Miandad, Greg Chappel, Alan Donald, etc.

I think this is why the concept of an 'all time' world XI is difficult, due the amount of choices, people will naturally pick the ones they can remember and the 90's is still fresh in everyones minds, I'n confident is players are asked this question in 20 years, they would be naming players from early 2000's onwards and would pick the odd player from the 90's with the 70's, 80's being non existent. This is why parameters are important.

Most of these guys coming up with their XIs are from that era so understandably picking players from 90s onwards. Hence, you will see more of Sachin over Dravid for same reason in them.

I would replace Hadlee or Mcgrath with Wasim.Hadlee was in many ways a clone of the marginally more skilled Glen Mcgrath, so Wasim's swing bowling would be a perfect foil for Mcgrath or Hadlee..Perfect combination of control of Mcgrath or Hadlee with the variation of Wasim.Marshall would also have been more suitable with his variety on all surfaces. No use having both Mcgrath and Hadlee and either one should be replaced with an all-round fast bowler like Marshall,Lillee,Wasim or Andy Roberts.I would prefer Mcgrath over Hadlee as he was more effective in unhelpful conditions with his phenomenal bowling intelligence in overpowering opponents.

I also preferred Sunil Gavaskar to Hanif and Warne to Murli.

Wasim over Hadlee would do it seems as most of the rest here are of the same opinion.

    Also Warne over Murali.
